Ethics according to St. Thomas

Course Overview

The course of Ethics according to St. Thomas will explore the concepts of the human will, sin, virtue and an understanding of a proper Christian Character. The course will follow the model of Fr Austin Woodbury as well as marrying his thought with contemporary Thomistic authors in the area.

This course is held on Tuesdays from 6pm to 7pm.

18 July – 21 September (10 weeks)

Term 4
10 October – 23 November (7 weeks)

5 December – 14 December

Formal enrolment is done on attendance at first class.


$70 per term to be paid in advance.

Fr Mannes Tellis OP

Fr Mannes Tellis OP is a Dominican friar and ordained priest and is currently the Catholic Chaplain to the University of Sydney. He holds a Bachelor of Arts, a Bachelor of Theology and a Masters in Theological Studies as well as a Graduate Diploma in Education. Fr Mannes interest is in Thomistic Ethics and Moral Theology.
