Catechism of the Catholic Church

Course Overview

This course examines the Catechism (CCC) in detail and is intended to give us an overall understanding of the teachings and practices of the Church. It is in four parts:

  • The Profession of Faith (Questions and answers about the faith, based on the Apostle’s Creed)
  • The Celebration of the Christian Mystery (the Sacred Liturgy, especially the sacraments)
  • Life in Christ (including The Ten Commandments in Catholic theology)
  • Christian Prayer (including The Lord’s Prayer)

This course is held on Mondays from 7pm to 8pm.

22 February – 6 April 2016 (7 weeks)

Term 2
26 April – 22 June (9 weeks)

Term 3
18 July – 21 September (10 weeks)

Term 4
10 October – 23 November (7 weeks)

Exams
5 December – 14 December

Formal enrolment is done on attendance at first class.

Fees

$70 per term to be paid in advance.

Lecturer

Frank Cudmore

Frank Cudmore is an engineer with a BsC in Communications and Master of Engineering Science in Industrial Engineering. Frank studied under Dr. Woodbury for many years and continued as the Aquinas Academy transitioned to the Centre for Catholic Studies. Though Frank is now a lecturer, teaching mainly in Pyschology, you can still spot the perennial learner in classes from time to time. Frank is also the Registrar of the Centre.
